About the Photographer

Worldwonderphotos.com has not been born overnight! The photos are brought to you through the dedicated photographic skills of UK-based freelance photographer Paul R. Davies. It was during his studies in New York some 15 years ago that he first developed his talent for travel photography. Since then he has embarked upon extensive travels around the world, producing spectacular images from the finest locations the world has to offer on all major continents.

"Great photographs are not the chance result of a photographer being in the right place at the right time any more than the first ascent of a mountain is the chance result of a mountaineer being on the summit"
Galen Rowell

Inspiring photographs can be there for any one of us to grab, but one still has to target those exquisite locations, travel to them, scope out the conditions, before finally capturing the unforgettable image that celebrates it’s appeal to the very maximum. Although travel photography is a rewarding and enjoyable pursuit, it still requires considerable time and dedication to produce the results you can see on this website. Nonetheless, Paul has managed to successfully provide an awe-inspiring and varied portfolio to the highest of standards for you the customer.

A final word from the artist:-

"The world is an alluring mix of human chaos and the handiwork of nature. Historic and modern architecture created from extraordinary human endeavours exist alongside timeless landscapes of mountains, rivers, jungles and deserts. To make sense of it all is impossible. But if you travel a little and just sample a variety of the world’s amazing places and people - you will become captivated"
Paul Davies
